Vaccination means business for female poultry farmers

Triza Atieno is a poultry farmer and a member of the Young Sisters Group in her local village in western Kenya. This group of 20 female poultry farmers have received poultry farming training and started seeing improvements after training and vaccinating poultry.

“I lost 200 out of 300 birds in one month. I was to administer the vaccine but I didn’t have that capital,” said Triza.

After selling the remaining 100 birds, Triza bought 300 birds and followed the vaccination schedule and she didn’t experience a loss.
