Our past activities have included conducting policy landscaping studies to gain a better understanding of policy and regulatory constraints to widespread availability and adoption of effective and affordable products. This has helped us, and our partners, identifying policy and regulatory issues for prioritisation and has informed our advocacy activities. We have commissioned several studies which can be found in our open-source database. We will continue to do this where required, under our business environment understanding workstream.
We have also raised awareness on the value of livestock vaccination and worked with partners to address specific priority areas such as the recognition and regulation of veterinary paraprofessionals who are critical players in delivering livestock products and services to small scale providers at the last mile. We have engaged partners such as the African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources and the World Organisation for Animal Health to develop curricula guidelines for veterinary paraprofessionals, competency guidelines for veterinary paraprofessionals and guidelines on public private partnerships in the delivery of veterinary products and services
