British / Zimbabwean
Schooling in Zimbabwe followed by a Bachelor of Sciences in Agricultural Economics at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. More recently a Master of Business Administration through Edinburgh Business School.
I began my working life in the agricultural division of Standard Bank, South Africa and then moved into investment banking in London working at Union Bank of Switzerland and Credit Suisse. From there, I moved into the research and academic sector and worked most recently in research operations at the University of Cambridge. My position at GALVmed is therefore a happy blend of these former roles with the added benefit that I can now, reasonably confidently, both spell and pronounce Trypanosomomosis.
Growing up in beautiful Zimbabwe, I used to have all manner of interesting outdoor hobbies and sports. But nowadays a lot of time seems to be spent, together with my wife, just trying to keep three young children on the straight and narrow.
