Role in GALVmed
My role involves coordinating, evaluating and reporting GALVmed’s activities. It requires integrating the broad spectrum of work undertaken by GALVmed and the key indicators that are used to describe the organisation’s output and impact. It also involves disseminating GALVmed’s work, by coordinating the collation of information and data and overseeing the production of reports and communiqués that clearly describe GALVmed’s progress and impact.

Relevant career highlights
Before I joined GALVmed, I was a Research Fellow in the area of Immunoparasitology at The University of Strathclyde, and an Honorary Research Fellow at The Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation at the University of Glasgow. My research involved designing anti-inflammatory drugs from parasitic worms, contributing to various Wellcome Trust and Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) funded projects. At the same time, I was a Non-Executive Director on the board of a technology company, and the editor of a book on Enterprise Performance Management. I have 15+ peer-reviewed publications in the area of Immunoparasitology.
