In the last month, we’ve welcomed two new staff members to GALVmed.
Angie Colston joined as our Assistant Director for R&D. Angie is currently based in our Edinburgh office but will move to our Nairobi office later this year. She is a qualified veterinary surgeon and has previously worked with Moredun Research Institute, Veterinary Medicines Directorate and as a UK Home Office Inspector.
“I am delighted to take up the position of Assistant Director, R&D with GALVmed. It is fulfilling a long-time ambition to help those in the world with the greatest need. It is a challenging time for developing countries and it is exciting to be part of the GALVmed organisation, dedicated to protecting livestock and improving human lives in these countries,” said Angie.
Roy Woolley, our new Data Analyst based in Edinburgh, joined us this week. He will develop the YAAP data analysis tool to allow us to better monitor and evaluate our projects. He will be overseeing this project for the next six months.
“Having just come out of post-graduate education, I feel exceptionally lucky to land in GALVmed,” said Roy. “The nature and mission of the company is truly inspiring. Personally, I am getting to work with data – which I love doing. I am greatly appreciative of the opportunity and look forward to using both analysis and collaboration to help create new insights and understanding.”
