Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, met with GALVmed staff and board members recently while attending an event in Edinburgh to celebrate our partner the Moredun Foundation’s rich heritage and unique partnership with the farming industry.

The Princess Royal is introduced to GALVmed CEO Peter Jeffries by board director Peter Wells while Jeremy Salt and Senior Director of Corporate Services and Finance Heather Stevenson look on

Her Royal Highness – visiting in her capacity as patron of the Foundation – spoke briefly with CEO Peter Jeffries and other members of the leadership team to hear about recent progress in our project work.

Peter said: “Princess Anne has always shown strong support for the agricultural community in Scotland and it’s encouraging that Her Royal Highness continues to take such a strong interest in Moredun and always seems appreciative of GALVmed’s work.

Set up by farmers for farmers the Moredun Foundation is one of the largest livestock charities in the UK and governs the work of the world renowned Moredun Research Institute. The mission of the organisation is to improve the health and welfare of livestock through research and education working in partnership with the farming community.
