(29 July 2015) – We are once again delighted to welcome new staff members to the GALVmed team!
Sam Spurr has joined us as our Intellectual Asset Analyst and will be searching for literature and patents relevant to various ongoing GALVmed projects and producing intellectual property landscaping reports on technologies of interest. He will be based in our Edinburgh office.
“I am delighted to accept the position with GALVmed and look forward to working in a dynamic environment and taking on board lots of new challenges. Above all, knowing that the work will result in changing people’s lives for the better and providing them with positive opportunities is an added bonus,” said Sam.
Kellen Asena also joined us at the start of July as our new Marketing Officer for Africa. She will carry out market awareness and sensitisation programmes for GALVmed in order to maximise adoption by livestock keepers in Africa. She will be based in our Nairobi office.
“I look forward to working with GALVmed because it is one of the leading organisations in the livestock industry and I strongly believe in the innovative products and services it provides together with partners, to especially the poor livestock keepers whose main livelihood is livestock. I look forward to playing an active role in delivering these solutions,” said Kellen.
Sandra Brett has temporarily joined us as maternity leave cover for our PA to the CEO and Edinburgh Office Manager post. She will provide administrative support to the CEO and the Board as well as managing GALVmed’s Edinburgh office.
“I look forward to working for GALVmed and learning and understanding how much they have transformed the quality of life for families,” said Sandra.
