Home News GALVmed at the Royal Highland Show

We were invited by one of our key funders, the UK Department for International Development to participate within the British Government marquee at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh. The Royal Highland Show, Scotland’s grand annual farming and countryside event, ran from 23-26 June. During this time, we showcased our partnership work with show attendees.

We had interactions with the Rt Hon David Mundell MP, the Secretary of State for Scotland (featured in the middle of the photo to the left with GALVmed representatives); Rory Stewart MP, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs Minister; Sheila Voas, the Chief Veterinary Officer for Scotland (pictured above), farmers and the public. Citizens who visited our stand were impressed with the self-sustaining markets for veterinary livestock products made available and accessible through our partners to livestock keepers in Africa and South Asia.
