(24 August 2015) In July, two GALVmed R&D colleagues visited a key collaboration site in Zambia. Angie Colston(Assistant Director, R&D) and Leonard Khaluhi (Veterinary Clinical Research Officer, R&D), who are both based in GALVmed’s Nairobi Office, visited the Central Veterinary Research Institute (CVRI) site in Lusaka, Zambia. The GALVmed team along with Jeremy Salt, Senior Director of R&D, also met with the Acting Director of the Zambian Vet Services to discuss our work at CVRI.
GALVmed has invested in improvements in facilities at the site to assist our projects on Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP). A key part of the programme is the development of a clinical challenge model for CBPP. Good progress is being made on this goal with input from OIE experts from IZS Teramo in Italy. This was a very productive meeting and achieved alignment in project goals.
