The policy environment is a key determinant in the successful translation of research products to livestock health solutions that are sustainably available to smallholder farmers. A conducive policy and regulatory environment promotes sustainable availability, accessibility and adoption of affordable livestock health products. To enhance the sustainability and scalability of its work, GALVmed works to facilitate better smallholder livestock health policies to promote widespread availability of effective and affordable products.
Through our advocacy activities, we build awareness of the value of market-based livestock vaccination to donors, government agencies and field-based organisations. We also advocate for greater private sector engagement in the delivery of livestock health products and services.
