I was the South African principal investigator for a European Union-funded (EU Funding Programme -7) IP research project on ‘Access to Pharmaceuticals’ and co-authored a manual on ‘Socially Responsible Licensing for Technology Transfer Offices’. Spent some time at the McGill University’s Centre of Intellectual Property & Policy. Headed the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC). While at SAMRC, I was involved in the establishment of the Grand Challenge South Africa initiative from proposal drafting to launch.
I enjoy sports and outdoor activities. I’m currently working on my golfing skills.
