Role in GALVmed

  • Initiate, oversee and manage assigned Commercial Development (CD) projects to deliver long-term objectives and interim milestones.
  • Establish excellent relationships with project partners and other third parties to support the delivery of project and strategic objectives.
  • Build market knowledge in assigned geography to provide insights and input into current projects, plus CD strategy development and implementation.
  • Research, propose and/or evaluate new CD project opportunities and concepts for inclusion in GALVmed’s future portfolio of projects.
  • Provide input into product development strategy to ensure target product profiles meet GALVmed’s strategic objectives.
  • Represent and support GALVmed’s other departments in Asia as and when required.

  • Programme Manager, Heifer International Nepal (2008-2012): Using livestock for overall community development; women empowerment through participatory learning; facilitating training on livestock and poultry health and management as well as on social mobilization and overall project management in different parts of Nepal.
  • Veterinary officer, Government of Nepal (1996-2005): Worked in national and regional level laboratories as a manager and as a laboratory worker to diagnose diseases in livestock and poultry; investigated livestock and poultry health problems to plan prevention and control as a regional epidemiologist; as a clinician and surgeon in veterinary hospital; and as planner for livestock and poultry development.
