Shraman Jha is a management consultant, with over 25 years of multi-industry professional experience in diverse emerging markets across India, Bangladesh, Africa and the Middle East.
Shraman has served with organisations like Unilever and FrieslandCampina. With a grounding in the consumer goods sector, he also has profit-centre level experience in media and education. He has helped transform sales & distribution structures, run hardcore brand marketing assignments and has a working knowledge of supply chain, finance and HR at a leadership team level.
His experience in economic, consumer and market research has contributed to sharper food productivity advocacy through animal health in South Asia. In his last corporate assignment with Elanco, he set up the Market Access function and led the antibiotic network across the set of APAC countries. To help nutrition security, he has built networks and influencing capability across governments, autonomous bodies like FAO, WHO, food chain and media to help nutrition security.
Shraman is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management. He also holds an MA in Economics from the University of Pune and a BA (Hons) in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
He has been awarded the British Chevening Senior Scholarship to the London School of Economics and is a fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar-21st Century Trust.
He joined GALVmed’s board in September 2019 and is a member of both Commercial Development Advisory Committee and the Impact, Monitoring & Evaluation Advisory Committee.
