William has been a GALVmed board member since September 2015 and was appointed as Vice-Chair in September 2019. William is a member of the Finance & Risk Committee and is an observer of the Impact & Monitoring Advisory Committee. William had previously worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome-Italy and Nairobi-Kenya. He has served in various capacities as a practicing veterinarian for the past 42 years in Africa, Asia, North America and Europe. He focused on various aspects of animal agriculture and infectious animal disease prevention and control.
William is currently a member of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) expert ad hoc committee on Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia and an OIE PVS expert. Previously, he was the Team Leader for an FAO project in Botswana in the eradication of contagious bovine pleuropneumonia disease. He has written 29 published journal articles.
William currently resides in Ghana.
